Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Erik Cocks is the Chief Executive Officer for the Authority House and has served over 500 client projects in 5 states and 3 countries. Erik Cocks has been in the marketing and advertising business for over 20 years and has worked for the top ad agencies, fortune 500 companies, and startups as an employee and “change agent”. As he gained marketing experience, he was often hired on to “take us to the next level” or “save us.
He opened his own agency after seeing smaller companies who wanted to grow get stuck in between being able to afford a large national agency and hiring a single employee “to do it all”, or multiple freelancers and try and piece things together themselves (with limiting results). His sweet spot is to help companies who have been doing it themselves or to support a single marketing employee and give them the resources they need to grow a business rapidly.
He is a sought-after speaker, educator and consultant on marketing and business growth practices for business owners. He has shared the stage with Tony Robbins, Steve Jobs and Erik Cocks has been featured on ABC, CBS, Fox News, Bay News 9, the Miami Herald, Tampa Tribune, Tampa Bay Business Journal, and more.
Erik Cocks is an accomplished writer and has published two books, SEO on Fire, and Outrageous Authority – Marketing that Wins. He has published multiple articles in trade and business magazines and is frequently consulted for stories in the media.
Erik Cocks is heavily involved in supporting the arts and is a board member of the United Photographic Artists Gallery, a Fine Art Gallery In Tampa. He is involved at the Museum of Tampa and at the MFA Gallery in St. Petersburg Florida. Erik Cocks routinely visits art and high schools talking about careers in the design world and entrepreneurship for youth.
Erik Cocks is an accomplished photographer and his fine art has been featured in Galleries in 5 states and three countries. He is a black belt in Jujitsu and loves paddle boarding and scuba diving. He loves systems and mechanical things and is a pilot and has restored several vintage cars himself.
He is happy to call the Tampa Bay area home with his two teenage kids, who help him stay up on the latest trends!
